Stimulus Check Tax Refund Question?

BIG points for asap answering and any kind of backup to your answer for proof.
My parents did there taxes by a H&R block pro in Walmart… had her fees taken out of our refund and directly deposited and got it back in early march.
a H&R block office rep in nashville told me that since we did that,we won’t get it directly deposited, but a check in the mail in June….which that isn’t what we was told by letter…
Thanks.

The fastest and easiest way to find out if your rebate will be direct deposited is to check your bank statement. If your tax refund was direct deposited by US TREASURY then you’ll be fine. If it says RAL then you’re S.O.L.
No RAL deposits will be direct deposited, per the IRS website under “When & How”
    Q. I chose direct deposit for my 2007 tax refund but also requested a refund anticipation loan (RAL) from my preparer. How does that affect my stimulus payment?
    A. Taxpayers who use RALs or enter into any other loan or financial agreement with their tax professional cannot receive their stimulus payments by direct deposit and instead will get a paper check.

Means it wasn’t from the IRS so they don’t have your info.

I looked for proof about this, but I couldn’t find a website- but it does make sense.
Look at the deposit posting of the tax refund on your parents bank statement. It should say US Treasury. If it does then it came from the IRS- if not, it probably was routed by H&R block.
In that case they will be getting a paper check.
I have noticed a lot of people saying just be patient, it is only money, you are too greedy. I want to say to them that when you are strapped for cash and you think that money is on the way you get anxious for it. Ever notice how people are waiting in line for their paychecks? (Well, people who get paper checks anyway. LOL)

If they had the fee taken out of the refund, you will recieve a check in the mail. This is because, when you opt to have the fees removed, your return was sent to a third party bank to remove the fees, and from that bank it was deposited into your account.
The IRS did not recieve your bank information on your refund, they recieved the third party bank information.
I know it sucks, it happened to me too! If I would of just paid my stupid fees with my debit card, I would have my money today!
One sure fire way to know if you will recieve a direct deposit, by the “grace of sam”, look back at your statement to see if your refund was deposited by the US Treasury, or if it was an RAL (refund anticipation loan).

I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IF YOU HAD YOU FEES TAKEN OUT OF YOU REFUND CHECK WITH H &R BLOCK THAT YOU WILL BE RECEIVING A PAPER CHECK IN THE MAIL EVEN THOUGH YOU HAD DIRECT DEPOSIT. THE WAY THEY DO IT IS THE DD GOES TO THERE ACCT THEN THEY TRANSFER IT TO YOUR ACCT. IF THIS IS THE CASE LOOK AT YOUR PAPER WORK AND YOULL SEE THIER DD ACCT # INSTEAD OF YOURS
3RD PARTY DIRECT DEPOSIT ARE SUBJECTED TO PAPER CHECKS IN THE MAIL.

If the direct deposit came from the IRS for your refund then yes it will be direct deposited if it came from H&R then no you will not get it direct deposited and you will get it in the mail.

I have been told both…. I called everyone that I now and that I could think of and noone knows for sure. I have researched online, but I can not find ANYTHING that says either way. I called the IRS and they have said Yes and No…..
Sorry but I’m not sure who can really help you.

go by the letter you received. if it wasn’t deposited in direct deposit then I would start looking for answers. if u got ur orginal tax return deposited then this check will also be deposited.

That’s what they get for going to HRB. Go to a professional instead. You’ll save money and probably get a bigger refund.

I’ve read everywhere that if you allowed fee’s to be deducted from your refund you’ll receive a paper check.
